The New York Giants were dealt a tremendous blow to their 2020 season on Sunday.
Star running back Saquon Barkley was helped off the field early in the second quarter after sustaining an apparent injury to his right leg.
Barkley rushed to the right for a 6-yard gain, but was brough down to the ground near the sideline while fighting off a tackler when he grabbed his right knee in pain.
His knee appeared to lock up as he went to the ground.
Barkley tossed his helmet off and was clearly in pain, grabbing the knee area. He was helped off the field by the trainer and head coach Joe Judge while not putting any weight on his right leg.
He was later seen being carted off the field with a look of frustration in his face. CBS announcers said he was receiving an X-Ray on his right knee in the locker room.
This is a developing story. Please check back for more details.
