Gregg Williams Responds To OBJ's Comments About Him

Odell Beckham Jr. may not play for the Giants anymore, but he still finds himself making headlines in New York. The Browns wide receiver said Thursday that Jets defensive coordinator Gregg Williams teaches his players to make "cheap shots and dirty plays."

Beckham Jr. blamed Williams for the Briean Boddy-Calhoun hit to his left leg in a Giants-Browns preseason game in which Beckham sprained his ankle.

Williams responded to those comments, first by joking with an "Odell, who?" line. He then denied any of what he said was true.

"We don't do that," Williams said. "I've never done that anywhere I've been. We don't do anything to hurt the team. It's the number one primary thing. You guys are cooperating, giving him attention. Just don't give him attention. It just is what it is."

He was asked about OBJ being one of the most dynamic players in the NFL.

"That's your opinion. What's New York's opinion? What did the Giants do? That's not a question for me," Williams responded.

OBJ and the Browns against Williams' Jets defense just got a little more juice to it for their primetime matchup Monday night.
