Jacob deGrom left little doubt in the mind of Cy Young voters with his performance in his season finale Wednesday night against the Braves -- eight inningss, no runs, no walks, 10 strikeouts. Boomer and Gio got Thursday's radio fun started by talking about deGrom's ridiculous season, what it's meant to the Mets' loyal fan base and how it would be a joke if he doesn't take home the coveted Cy Young Award.

Needless to say, if the Mets were getting ready for a wild-card game, the aforementioned deGrom would clearly be getting the ball -- which brings us to the Yankees, who are in fact preparing for a one-game wild-card matchup (against the A's, home field still to be determined), and there is a cloud of uncertainty surrounding which pitcher will get the nod. Masahiro Tanaka didn't do himself any favors with a lackluster performance in an 8-7 Yankees loss to the Rays.

We had all of that, Boomer talks about contract bonuses, James Harrison gives some questionable advice to Le'Veon Bell and much more.
