The Jets are well underway as they search for their next head coach to replace Todd Bowles. Their first interview came Wednesday with Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Jets will interview former Dolphins head coach Adam Gase for the head coaching vacancy.

Gase just interviewed Wednesday for the Cardinals head coach opening. The interview with the Jets will be his second this week for a head coaching job. Gase went 7-9 with the Dolphins this season before being fired Monday. He went 5-1 against the Jets over the past three seasons with Miami. He went 23-25 in his three seasons with the Dolphins.

Gase is known as a quarterback-minded guy. He helped Peyton Manning in 2013 in Denver to a record-breaking season. He stayed around .500 with Ryan Tannehill. He's also 40, which is pretty young. Gase could be an intriguing option for the Jets to help grow Sam Darnold at QB.
