The Jets have released offensive lineman Spencer Long, the team announced on Twitter Tuesday afternoon.
Long signed a four-year, $27.5 million contract with New York last March.

The former third round pick started 13 games with the Jets last season at center and left guard.
Long's cap number in 2019 would have been $6.5 million.
Despite the move, the Jets are still interested in bringing Long back next season at a reduced rate, according to Manish Mehta of New York Daily News.
