But WFAN's Maggie Gray believes it was obvious that Dorsey didn't do his homework.
The Kansas City Chiefs released Hunt in December after video surfaced showing him shoving and kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel. The NFL is investigating three separate off-field incidents involving Hunt, who could be facing a suspension by the league.
At a news conference Monday, Dorsey had no answers when asked if he knew if Hunt had apologized to the woman in the video, if he had consulted any groups that work with women who are victims of violence or if he had asked any Browns players about how they'd feel about teaming with Hunt.

But Gray said the most appalling remarks made by Dorsey came when he was asked where the organization stands on violence against women.
"I think ownership has spoken on that before," he said. "I'm not going to be the spokesperson for the organization with regards to that."
"Wow. That's your general manager," Gray said on Tuesday's "Carlin, Maggie and Bart" show. "And I'll be honest with you guys: That question is a lay-up. That's the moment when you actually show 'Hey, I've educated myself about this. Hey, I think this is something that's important. Hey, I understand that to our community, to our fans, whether they're male or female, that this is something that cannot stand.' That's your answer? Punting. Please. That was an embarrassing press conference for John Dorsey on every single level.
"We are a forgiving society, but I do not want to be played for a fool," Gray added.
