The Mets placed right-handed reliever Anthony Swarzak on the 10-day disabled list and recalled righty Hansel Robles from Triple-A Las Vegas.

The 32-year-old Swarzak strained his left oblique muscle while pitching in the eight inning of Saturday's win over the St. Louis Cardinals. His statuts on the DL is retroactive to Sunday.

The Mets signed Swarzak, a free agent who split last season between the Chicago White Sox and Milwakee Brewers, to a two-year, $14 million contract in December.

In two appearances this season, he pitched 2 1/3 innings, allowing one run and one hit while striking out three and walking one.

Robles was optioned to Las Vegas just before the start of the regular season. In 46 appearances with the Mets last season, he was 7-5 with a 4.92 ERA.
