A lot of Mets fans were perplexed when Mets manager Mickey Callaway yanked pitcher Noah Syndergaard during the seventh inning of Tuesday's game against the San Francisco Giants -- including fans of the four-legged variety apparently.
One caller to Mike Francesa's show on Wednesday explained that even his dog seemed baffled by the move.
"Does your dog want to manage the team or no?" Francesa joked in response.

— MIKE'S ON with Francesa (@mikeson) June 6, 2019With two outs in the top of the seventh inning, a man on first base and the Mets leading 3-2, Callaway decided to pull Syndergaard, who was cruising along and had thrown just 103 pitches.
The manager then brought in Seth Lugo, who went on to allow the inherited runner to score, and the Mets wound up losing the game in 10 innings.
