The rebuilding Rangers traded veteran wing Cody McLeod to the Nashville Predators on Wednesday for a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.

OFFICIAL: #NYR have acquired a seventh-round pick from Nashville in the 2020 NHL Draft in exchange for Cody McLeod.

McLeod skated in 56 games for the Rangers during the past two seasons, registering one goal and two assists.

The 34-year-old was claimed off waivers by the Rangers on Jan. 25, 2018. He was re-signed to a one-year, $650,000 contract during the past offseason.
