It was beginning to seem like the Yankees might never lose again, so when they were trailing the Red Sox 4-0 on Thursday night at the Stadium, there was certainly still hope. Lo and behold, the Bombers mounted a comeback with a four-run seventh, only to eventually fall by a final score of 5-4.
Boomer & Gio discussed the Yanks' setback, Dellin Betances' inability to get the job done and Aaron Judge's valiant effort in the top of the eighth to rob J.D. Martinez. The loss drops the Yankees into a tie for first place in the AL East with the Red Sox.
We also heard about WFAN's own, "JJ After Dark" (John Jastremski) getting his hands on a foul ball in the Bronx and Matt Harvey getting ready to make his Reds debut in Los Angeles.
It's a Friday, folks, so start actin' like it.
