Ereck Flowers is back.
After not reporting to any voluntary workouts or minicamp in April, the Giants tackle was working out at the team facility in East Rutherford Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
This is the first time Flowers has reported to the team facility this offseason and under new head coach Pat Shurmur. This comes up after the Giants reportedly tried to trade him during the draft, which obviously was unsuccessful.
Giants safety Landon Collins told WFAN's "Boomer & Gio" that Flowers was not reporting because he was unhappy with the team signing free agent Nate Solder and planned to move Flowers from left tackle to right tackle.
He has has hired agent Drew Rosenhaus while the Giants declined to pick up Flowers' fifth-year option for next season.
Saturday, Shurmur said he was looking forward to working with Flowers.
"We've been in contact with Ereck. It's our understanding that he's in good shape," Shurmur said. "I can't wait for him to be here. I've mentioned it in the past, there were some things that he did last year that were really good, and I look forward to him getting here at some point and working with him."
The Giants signed Solder to a four-year, $62 million contract earlier in the offseason, and also drafted guard Will Hernandez.
