Ex-Giants Safety Kamrin Moore Cleared In Domestic Violence Case

A grand jury has declined to indict former Giants safety Kamrin Moore on a domestic violence charge, his management team said Wednesday.

In July, Moore was arrested on a third-degree aggravated assault charge in Linden, New Jersey, after being accused of punching a woman he was dating. The accusations claimed that he stomped on the woman's neck after punching her.

A protective order was issued afterward that forbade Moore from having any contact with the alleged victim, but that order was later reportedly dismissed by Superior Court Judge Frederic McDaniel, who said the domestic violence claims are "unsubstantiated."

The Giants suspended Moore, 23, after the allegations surfaced and then waived him during their final cuts on Aug. 31.

After a Union County grand jury declined to formally charge Moore, MBK Sports Management said it will seek the safety's reinstatement to the NFL.

"We continuously asserted Kamrin's innocence from the outset of this ordeal and believed it was only a matter of time before he would be vindicated of these fabricated charges through the course of due process," said MBK Sports president Eugene Lee.

Moore was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2018 draft out of Boston College. New Orleans released him on Sept. 1, 2018, and the Giants claimed him off waivers the next day. Moore played in just two games as a rookie for Pat Shurmur's team.
