The Giants are reportedly looking to trade down from the second pick in the first round of the NFL draft Thursday night.
ESPN's Dianna Russini reported Thursday that a Giants source said there is a feeling in the building that Big Blue will try to move down to acquire additional picks to address need areas.
Spoke to a Giants source. He said the feeling in this building today is the Giants are looking to trade down. When I asked why? He said "we have a ton of needs"NYG contemplating all options.
— Dianna Russini (@diannaESPN) April 26, 2018If the Giants stay at No. 2, most analysts believe they will either draft one of the top quarterbacks -- USC's Sam Darnold, UCLA's Josh Rosen, Wyoming's Josh Allen or Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield -- or Penn State running back Saquon Barkley.
But in addition to a running back and successor to Eli Manning, the Giants could also use help on the offensive line, at defensive end, at linebacker and in the secondary.

If the Giants trade down, it would suggest they are willing to wait on finding their next starting quarterback or that they believe Davis Webb, last year's third-round pick, could step into that role someday.
The Buffalo Bills, who own the 12th and 22nd overall picks, are one team reportedly looking to trade up to draft a QB. Going from No. 2 to No. 12 might be a farther fall than the Giants might like, but if they could also pick up Buffalo's second first-round selection, it might be worth it.

The Denver Broncos, who pick fifth, could also be in the mix. If the Giants traded with the Broncos, they could still be in position to land either Barkley; North Carolina State defensive end Bradley Chubb, widely regarded as the top defensive player in the draft; or Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson, considered the top offensive lineman this year.
