Golden Tate soaked in the moment as he scored his first Giants' touchdown.
Tate, who returned from a four-game suspension last week, connected with quarterback Daniel Jones for a 64-yard touchdown in the second quarter on Thursday night. Inches separated Jones' pass from being incomplete as Patriots' cornerback Jonathan Jones managed to slightly disrupt the pass. Tate controlled the bobbling ball into his arms and backpedaled into the end zone.

The wide receiver flourished in the absence of WR Sterling Shepard and tight end Evan Engram, who missed the contest due to a concussion and knee injury, respectively. Tate led New York with three catches and 79 yards in the first half. He served as a catalyst for the Giants' remarkable 87-second span, where they added another touchdown to tie New England — Markus Golden returned a fumble for a touchdown.
Running back Saquon Barkley wasn't on the field at Gillette Stadium, but was watching Tate bask in his glory. He took to social media to celebrate the Giants' first score of the game.

The veteran amassed over 7,227 receiving yards throughout his nine-year career, totaling 38 touchdowns. As the Giants deal with a handful of injuries, Tate will be looked upon as a reliable target for the team's offense.
