Garth Snow has been fired as Islanders general manager, along with head coach Doug Weight. Snow had served as the GM since 2006, and the Islanders won just one playoff series during his tenure. Islanders fans, many of whom had been calling for Snow's ouster for years, quickly took to Twitter to express their jubilation regarding the change in management.
