Jets coach Adam Gase says the reports of friction between him and general manager Mike Maccagnan are not only inaccurate, they're frustrating.
"I don't know who decides that, gets to put that stuff out there," Gase told reporters Friday as the Jets welcomed their rookies to 1 Jets Drive for orientation. "It kind of pisses me off a little bit because we have discussions on everything, and that's our job. We have to work through so much stuff."
Maccagnan told WFAN's "Boomer and Gio" last month that he has a good working relationship with Gase, who was hired in January after three seasons as the Miami Dolphins' head coach.
"Like anything, there's always going to be disagreements on things," Maccagnan said. "But that's a natural thing in your process, but you work through that. And, I think, in the end, you're always focused on what's in the best interest of the team and how you move forward."
