The 49-year-old doesn’t have any head coaching experience at the professional or collegiate levels, but he fits the mold of the kind of coach the Jets are supposedly looking for. New York needs someone who specializes in the offensive side of the game and who will be able to properly develop Sam Darnold from a promising youngster into a franchise quarterback.
