The Knicks’ tanking was not rewarded.
New York had the worst record in the NBA last season, but the team will pick third in the 2019 NBA draft. The Knicks were jumped in the lottery by both the New Orleans Pelicans and the Memphis Grizzlies.
The prayers of Knicks fans were not answered. Instead of Zion Williamson, it was another disappointment for a franchise that has experienced quite a lot of disappointment in its recent history.
Some Knicks fans will say they expected the let-down, but that doesn’t make it any easier to deal with.
