Mets third baseman Todd Frazier is being placed on the 10-day DL with a rib cage strain, the team announced Monday.
Manager Mickey Callaway said Frazier suffered the injury during one of his at-bats in Sunday's 9-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.
Frazier is hitting .217 with with 10 home runs and 32 RBIs this season, his first with the Mets.

Jose Reyes is starting at third base in the first game of the Mets' home doubleheader Monday against the Phillies. The team also announced it has recalled left-handed starting pitcher P.J. Conlon and utilityman Ty Kelly from Triple-A Las Vegas. Pitcher Chris Flexen has been sent down to Triple A.
Jose Reyes and Wilmer Flores are also options to fill in for Frazier.
Frazier joins a lengthy Mets disabled list that also includes Yoenis Cespedes, Noah Syndergaard, Jay Bruce, Jason Vargas and AJ Ramos, among others.
The Mets are 35-51, 13 1/2 games behind the Phillies and Braves for the NL East lead.
