New York Giants fans might have been expecting the team to cut ties with someone from the organization after their 19-14 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Atleast for now, that won't be head coach Pat Shurmur. It's wide receiver Bennie Fowler, for the second time this season.
Fowler has appeared in eight games this season, reeling in 23 receptions for 193 yards and one touchdown. He was inactive versus Chicago with fellow wideout Sterling Shepard returning to the field versus the Bears after he missed the last five games. Shepard suffered his second concussion of the season earlier this year.
Golden Tate entered concussion protocol on Monday, stemming from the way he landed after making his fourth quarter touchdown reception to cut the deficit to 19-14 versus the Bears.
The Giants take on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers Sunday Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. from Metlife Stadium.
