Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has had a change of heart and a change of mind.

In October, the 32-year-old cornerback decided he was done playing professional football. He took to Instagram to announce his retirement after having played the first seven games of the season with the Oakland Raiders. That retirement lasted about four months.

On Thursday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Rodgers-Cromartie wants to play again and has been reinstated ahead of the 2019 season.

Veteran CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who abruptly announced his retirement last season, has been reinstated and wants to play in 2019, source said. Still just 32, he's going to draw some interest.

Rodgers-Cromartie played for the Giants for four years after spending time with the Cardinals, Eagles and Broncos. 2017 was his last season with New York. He was cut in March of 2018 after a disappointing campaign.

Over the course of his 11-year career, Rodgers-Cromartie has managed 447 tackles, 30 interceptions and seven forced fumbles.

At 32 he may be past his prime, but he should still draw interest from teams around the league who need to bolster their secondary.
