Giants running back Saquon Barkley won Pepsi Rookie of the Year on Thursday. Now the question is whether he'll win the more widely recognized Associated Press version during Saturday night's "NFL Honors" awards show.
Barkley beat out Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield for the Pepsi award, which is decided by a public online vote. Other finalists were Browns running back Nick Chubb, Colts linebacker Darius Leonard and Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay.

"To wrap up the year and win this, it's amazing," Barkley told WFAN's "Boomer & Gio" on Thursday on Super Bowl Radio Row in Atlanta. "When you think of all the rookies that we had this year, and especially with a great rookie class -- seven Pro Bowlers, a couple of All-Pros -- it's an honor to be mentioned with those guys. And to be the one to win, I've just got to say thank you to the fans for voting me in, and it's truly an honor and a pleasure."
The last two Pepsi Rookie of the Years -- the Saints' Alvin Kamara and the Cowboys' Dak Prescott -- went on to win AP Offensive Rookie of the Year.

The second overall pick in the 2018 draft, Barkley rushed for 1,307 yards and 11 touchdowns and caught 91 passes for 721 yards and four TDs en route to a Pro Bowl selection.
Barkley is the first Giant to win Pepsi Rookie of the Year since Jeremy Shockey in 2002, the award's inaugural year.
The only Giant to ever win AP Offensive Rookie of the Year was Odell Beckham Jr. in 2014. Lawrence Taylor won Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1981.
