Finally, some good news on the injury front for the Yankees.

Aaron Judge, who was placed on the 10-day IL on Friday with tightness in his calf, said that he feels game-ready and plans to swing a bat again on Monday.

“I feel 100 percent,” Judge told reporters before Sunday’s game against the Red Sox. “That’s why I was trying to beg them to give me a couple of days.”

Judge, who entered Sunday tied for the MLB lead in home runs with nine, was pulled from Tuesday’s game against the Braves and benched on Wednesday after what manager Aaron Boone described as “lower body tightness” stemming from playing on the artificial turf at Tropicana Field.

“I’ve been healthy and been feeling great,” he said. “This is the best I’ve felt in a while. I’m pretty frustrated, being put on the IL for something that’s just a couple of days thing.”

Judge acknowledged the team was ultimately looking after his best interests, and did add it was his belief that he was dealing with some wear and tear of playing on the turf while wearing cleats, and has come up with an alternative solution to try and avoid something similar happening in the future.

The right fielder said he will wear tennis shoes when he plays the field on artificial turf and change into spikes for when it is time for him to bat.

He said he got the idea from speaking with other players.

Judge’s IL stint is retroactive to Wednesday. He could be back in the lineup for the conclusion of next weekend’s series against the Mets.
