If you haven't heard, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are duking it out Friday with $9 million on the line at Shadow Creek. After one hole though, Mickelson is down a few hundred thousand.
The pair of golfers had a side bet that Mickelson would birdie the first hole. He hit a par and not a birdie and that would cost the lefty $200,000. Mickelson missed a putt about nine feet away that would have won him the bet.
Mickelson originally wanted to bet $100,00 but Woods wanted to double it.
That paid off very nicely for Tiger.
