The Jets have three quarterbacks on the roster that could potentially start Week 1: Sam Darnold, Teddy Bridgewater, and Josh McCown. Bridgewater could end up being the odd man out, though.

According to Manish Mehta at The NY Daily News, two teams have expressed interest in trading for Bridgewater. The Jets have made it clear that the 25-year-old QB could be traded for the right price. The report also says that there have been no concrete offers as of Monday afternoon that would prompt a move yet.

Bridgewater has looked good in the first two preseason games, showing no limitations on his surgically repaired knee that cost him nearly two seasons. He's completed 17 of 23 passes for 212 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. This has been his first extended action since tearing his ACL and dislocating his knee in a non-contact injury in practice in 2016.

It seems that any offer for Bridgewater would likely have to be a draft pick in the first three rounds. If a team suffers an injury to one of their top two quarterbacks, Bridgewater could fill a void. Now that he appears to be fully healthy, Bridgewater is right up there as possibly the best backup quarterback in the game, and deserves a chance to potentially start somewhere if it doesn't end up being Week 1 for the Jets.

Darnold seems likely to be the Week 1 starter though barring a regression in the third preseason game. If that ends up being the case, then a possible Bridgewater trade would definitely seem to have a high probability of happening.
