EAST RUTHEFORD, N.J. (WFAN) -- Giants general manager Dave Gettleman has reportedly landed a big-name "hog molly."
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that the Giants are expected to sign left tackle Nate Solder, who protected Tom Brady's blindside for the past seven years in New England.
According to multiple reports, the contract agreement is for four years, $62 million, making Solder the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history.
The offensive line was arguably the Giants' biggest area of concern entering free agency. Last season, they were ranked 26th in the NFL in rushing offense with just 96.8 yards per game.
Solder, who turns 30 next month, was the 17th overall pick in the 2011 draft. The 6-foot-8, 314-pound lineman played in four Super Bowls with the Patriots, winning two.
Gettleman often refers to offensive linemen as "hog mollies."
The Giants have also agreed to terms with outside linebacker Kareem Martin, Rapoport reported.
Martin was a third-round draft pick in 2014 by the Arizona Cardinals, where he played under James Bettcher, now the Giants' defensive coordinator.
Last season, Martin played in 16 games (10 starts) and had 24 tackles, one sack and one interception.
