Yankees star Gleyber Torres has been placed on the 10-day DL due to a right hip strain, which is a heavy hit to the team. However, Wade has been summoned to fill his spot.

During spring training, Wade proved himself and joined the Major Leagues. This only lasted for a 13 games, and after a poor showing, he was sent back down to play for Triple-A Scranton.
In Scranton, his game has been promising, inspiring the Yankees to give him a shot to show that demoting him was a mistake. The 23-year-old will be called up in preparation for the series against Toronto, which starts on Friday.
