The Yankees added yet another reliever Monday, signing Danny Farquhar to a minor-league deal.

Farquhar pitched for the White Sox in 2018, but incurred a brain hemorrhage on April 20 and collapsed in the dugout. It was his final outing of the season. He underwent surgery on April 21 and threw out the ceremonial first pitch on June 1. The 31-year-old right-hander was with the Yankees in 2012 in double-A Trenton, but was traded a month later to the Mariners in the deal that brought Ichiro Suzuki to the Bronx.

Farquhar will be entering his eighth MLB season, spending time with the Blue Jays, Mariners, Rays and White Sox. For his career, he has a 3.93 ERA in 253 games. His best season came in 2014, when he recorded a 2.66 ERA in 66 games for the Mariners.

It won't be easy for him to earn a spot in the Yankees bullpen. The Bronx Bombers already have newly signed Adam Ottavino, Aroldis Chapman, Dellin Betances, Zach Britton, Chad Green and Jonathan Holder.
