Looks like the Giants have their offensive coordinator.
According to multiple reports, the Giants will hire Kansas City Chiefs quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator Mike Kafka to be Brian Daboll’s offensive coordinator, bringing in one of the minds who was instrumental in the development of Patrick Mahomes.

Kafka, a quarterback at Northwestern, was a fourth-round pick of the Eagles in 2010 and spent parts of six seasons in the NFL, ending his career on the Bengals’ practice squad in 2015. He started his coaching career the next year at his alma mater, and then joined former Eagles coach Andy Reid’s staff in KC as an offensive quality control assistant in 2017.
The 34-year-old was named KC’s QB coach in 2018, and spent two seasons in just that role before adding passing game coordinator to his title in 2020.
Kafka was reported to be one of three finalists, along with longtime NFL offensive assistants Pep Hamilton and Chad O’Shea, for the Giants’ OC gig once the Bills promoted Ken Dorsey from QB coach to offensive coordinator to fill Daboll’s old role.
The hire gives Daboll two of his three coordinators, as special teams coach Thomas McGaughey has been reported to be returning, and with the Vikings reportedly set to hire Rams OC Kevin O’Connell as their head coach, defensive coordinator Patrick Graham may be returning as well.
