Frank Fleming of Barstool Sports just wants to watch his beloved Mets play baseball, but that won't happen until at least early April now that the first two series of the 2022 season have been canceled, and he is directing the blame at MLB commissioner Rob Manfred.
Fleming vented his frustration outside MLB headquarters on Wednesday, leading a couple dozen protestors with signs to show their anger about the ongoing lockout, and Manfred's decision to cancel games after league-imposed deadline came and went with no new agreements on a CBA.
"I said 'we want our voices heard,'" Fleming told Carton and Roberts on Wednesday. "We want baseball back. We want Rob ManFRAUD, that's his name. It's not Rob Manfred. Make it known. Get everyone to say it…the urge to spit in his face would be so strong that I'd have to walk away.
"We're just gonna have to sit and wait. If they don't wait for the next few weeks, we'll have to be out there again."
Holding a sign that said "Rob Manfred Hates Baseball," Fleming and his fellow protestors were told by police to leave the front of the league headquarters, telling Craig and Evan that authorities implemented the Riot Act.
He led a "Man-Fraud" chant outside the building before the crowd was forced to disperse.
"They were told that they wanted us out, and you know how that goes," Fleming said. "Nobody wants to hear the truth…They wanted us to get out of there. but we'll have our voices heard again if this doesn't get settled quickly."
Unfortunately for Fleming, he doesn't believe this will get settled any time soon, and he believes Manfred will be the cause of it.
"I am afraid he wants the season canceled because he wants to change the structure of baseball," Fleming said. "He actually wants to get rid of the American and National League, and have the Major League East and Major League West...he hates baseball. I am convinced of that."
