Our old friend Joe Benigno and his retirement plans somehow came up on the Boomer & Gio Show on Tuesday – and is it possible that Joe is going to become a pizza tycoon in the south?
"Is Joe still in Jersey or did he move yet?" Jerry asked, to which Gio responded that the Benignos are still in the Garden State.
Then, after the guys wondered how Joe would pronounce Audacy – both with Joe's accent (AW-DACY, bro!) and as a callback to an earlier segment, Gio mentioned how Alabama is a possibility for the Benignos' next address, because their daughter is down there and loving it.
"Imagine Joe Benigno in Alabama?" Gio said, and before he could finish, Jerry hit the zinger: "He'd be like My Cousin Vinny!"
"He should open, like, Benigno's pizza," Boomer interjected, and Eddie finished it off with the ultimate one-liner: "They'd think he's in Witness Protection!"
