Peter Schwartz was sitting in to do the updates for Boomer & Gio on Friday morning, and a couple notable mishaps resulted in a last-minute audible for the Moment of the Day.
Schwartz was leading into revealing the Moment of the Day, starting off with the event's sponsor in Casamigos Tequila, but Boomer and Gio quickly stopped him once he started pronouncing it "Tequiya."
"Why did you go silent L?" Gio asked.
"I always thought it was a silent L," Peter replied. "That's what I thought it was, like quesadilla."
After being grilled about his pronunciation and providing a weak excuse by saying he doesn't drink tequila, Peter tried once again to lead into what was originally the Moment of the Day.
But that was followed by radio silence.
"You gonna play the audio?" Gio asked.
"Oh, do I have to play it?" Schwartz said.
Needless to say, Peter's "tequiya" mishap and his inability to play the original Moment of the Day made "tequiya" the Moment of the Day.
