Craig Carton is not very high on New York baseball right now, sounding off on the "embarrassing" play of the yankees and Mets this past weekend.
"The Yankees, it's embarrassing…it's a bad team right now," Craig said. "You get swept by the Boston Red Sox and barely put up a fight? Embarrassing."
It wasn't much better for the team in Queens, losing to a Cardinals team that entered the weekend with the worst record in the National League, and now sit five games below .500.
"New York Mets, as [Evan] told us on Friday, rightfully, you're playing the bottom dwellers of the National League. Worst case, you got to take two out of three," Craig said. "You got to take the series and you do the exact opposite. You lose two out of three.
"We are in a bad, bad place right now in the moment for both franchises, and we are at that stage where we gotta stop saying, at some point soon, 'Plenty of games left.'"
