Odell Beckham Jr. was involved in an airplane incident back in November, when he was getting set to do his rounds and visit potentially interested teams as he prepared to return from a torn ACL.
Now, body cam footage of the incident has been released, via TMZ, and it shows the former Giants wide receiver getting into it with a passenger after the plane had to be deboarded following Beckham’s actions with airline staff.
“You're everything wrong with the world,” Beckham said to the passenger as he gathered his things and left the plane, along with everyone else. “Looking at me to get off a plane, for you. I would never. Ever in my life get off the plane for you. Specifically you. Maybe everybody else, I would get off the plane.
“You’re gonna wait 40 minutes and I'm going to be on a private plane home. Yeah, with your fat a--. Get you’re a-- off the plane for a second. Enjoy the cheese board on the way home with your ugly a--.”
Reacting to the footage on Thursday morning, Gio had one brief takeaway.
“What an a-hole,” Gio said of Beckham. “There’s no other way to interpret that.”
As for Boomer, he completely understood the decision to deboard the plane, even if body cam footage saw police determine that Beckham was aware and alert enough to answer their questions.
“If I were the pilot and I were the flight attendants, I would not want to fly with someone who is not following simple instructions,” Boomer said. “I don’t know what’s gonna happen when we’re up at 37,000 feet…is this guy having an episode? Could this happen at 37,000 feet? That’s why they’re uber-sensitive, which I totally get.”
