Boomer predicted a “smash spot” for the Jets to “squash” the Giants last weekend, and it turned into an ugly overtime win for Gang Green.
Now, Boomer is predicting another “smash” for Big Blue, but this time, he believes the return of Daniel Jones will help the Giants cruise past the Raiders.
“It’s at a boiling point,” Boomer said. “I can’t impress upon you enough how much that loss last week changes things with the Giants. They lost at home to the Jets when they had the lead…I’m telling you, that loss cuts as deep as any other loss that they would have this year. That’s why in practice the week, with the quarterback finally back, they cannot go out there and lose to a rookie quarterback. They can’t.
“I’m putting my money on Daniel Jones in this game. I’m putting everything I got on him. I know what it means to him.”
Gio isn’t nearly as confident in the Giants, and says there is something to the Raiders coming out energized in their first game since firing Josh McDaniels and wiping the slate clean.
“I can’t sit here and dismiss the Raiders because they got rid of one of the worst coaches we’ve ever seen,” Gio said.
