Daniel Jones is entering a crucial season for the Giants that will very likely impact his future with the franchise, and many are wondering if Brian Daboll can unlock something more in the sixth overall pick like he did with Josh Allen and the Bills offense in Buffalo.
While fans may be hoping for a similar trajectory, Daboll wants to pump the brakes on those kind of comparisons, as he will be constructing Big Blue’s offense for Jones, not with motivation to replicate what he and Allen accomplished.

“I’ve been doing this for 22 years in the NFL,” Daboll told Boomer and Gio at Giants training camp. “I try not to compare them. Let them go out there and figure out what they do well. I think you can get stuck when you start looking at a guy that you have and compare them to the guy you used to have.
“I think the best thing that we can do is come out here and practice different plays and figure out what we are, and that’s a work in progress with Daniel.”
