Gio pondered that the Giants might not win another game this season, and Carton and Roberts have a hard time buying into that idea.
“If the Giants found a way to split these remaining six games, they’re in,” Evan said. “There seems to be a lot of burying of the New York Giants.
“They may not win another game? We’re really doing this after two straight losses?”
Big Blue is banged up and struggling over the last two games, but Craig says this Giants group has already made a habit out of defying the odds, considering they weren’t expected to be in the playoff hunt at this point in the season. So it’s time to have some belief.
“All they’ve done is disprove these crazy predictions,” Craig said. “No one is saying the Giants are winning a Super Bowl, but haven’t they at least earned some level of good will that they can win a few more games?”
New York does have a tough schedule ahead, but Evan believes a 3-3 record could get it done, and they wouldn’t have to beat the tougher teams remaining as long as they can be a .500 team the rest of the way.
“You don’t have to beat the Eagles or Minnesota,” Evan said. “You have to beat Washington and the Colts.”
