Kyler Murray is set to return to play on Sunday against the Falcons, and Boomer and Gio wonder if it represents a glimmer of hope for the Giants’ chances of getting one of the top quarterbacks in next year’s draft.
The lowly Cardinals, at 1-8, are top competition with Big Blue for one of the coveted draft spots, but with Murray back and a few winnable games coming up on the schedule, maybe Arizona could do the Giants a favor?
“They’ve got a chance to win their next three games… If they win three more games, that’s great for the Giants,” Gio said. “The Giants have a real chance to not win another game the rest of the way. There really is a legitimate chance. They could be right up there, and that would be some exciting stuff.”
Boomer agrees, and will be tuned in to see if Murray’s return elevates the Cardinals offense enough to steal some wins and help Big Blue’s cause.
“They have a chance to win maybe three more games, realistically,” Boomer said. “Kyler Murray can end all of that talk by leading his team to victory.”
