Daniel Jones’ resurgent season received another landmark on Wednesday morning, as the Giants quarterback was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Jones made franchise history in Sunday’s win over the Jaguars when he became the first Giant to throw for at least 200 yards and rush for at least 100, completing 19 of 30 passes for 202 yards, and ran for 107 yards while averaging nearly 10 yards per rush.
Jones’ 1-yard touchdown run gave the Giants the lead for good with 5:31 left in the fourth quarter in Jacksonville.
Jones also didn’t throw an interception for the fourth straight game, and all four of those games have been wins for New York.
