Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker called Daniel Jones “trash” in a tweet criticizing his new four-year deal, and Darius Slayton quickly came to Jones’ defense.

Brisker, responding to the news of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson getting the non-exclusive franchise tag on Tuesday, said, “MVP lol…other Bruh got paid today and is trash fam,” referencing Jones’ new four-year, $160 million deal.

Slayton responded with a screenshot of the final score from this past season, when Jones and the Giants took down Brisker’s Bears 20-12.

Jones’ deal has been criticized by some given the amount of the deal, and the fact that Jones threw just 15 touchdown passes this past season, but others point to his glaring lack of wide receiver talent, and the step forward he took in just his first year under head coach Brian Daboll.

Brisker clearly doesn’t think Jones was worth the money.
