Eli Manning made you wait for it, and then he made you wait for it while waiting…but yes, indeed, he got a subtle dig in at Tom Brady in his congratulatory Twitter message to TB12 on Tuesday.

Eli had sent Ben Roethlisberger, a contemporary in the QB Class of 2004, a message of well wishes when Big Ben retired last week, and once again took to Twitter Tuesday to send some love to the retiring Tom Brady…as well as a small jab at the end:

Yes, that’s right, after praising Brady’s career and marveling how he saw Brady win Super Bowls while he was in college, in the NFL, and then retired, Eli finally did what every Giants fan was hoping, saying “I appreciate your generosity in at least sharing a few of those Super Bowls with me.”

Perhaps not as big of a diss as many other Giants fans wanted – or, say, outlets like WFAN and SNY gave TB12 on Saturday when news of his not-yet-retirement broke – but it stands to remain that in 10 Super Bowls, Brady was 6-0 against the field but 1-3 against the NFC East, including 0-2 against Eli’s Giants.
