Evan & Tiki: Could Dak Prescott sign with Giants in 2025?

The Cowboys will not be discussing a new deal with Dak Prescott in his contract year, paving the way for the longtime Dallas quarterback to test free agency in 2025.

That also happens to be the year that the Giants can use the escape hatch in Daniel Jones’ contract to cut ties, and Evan says it makes for an intriguing possibility that the longtime New York rival could end up under center for Big Blue.

“You rip that guy for so many years, and all of a sudden, things just work out, and that guy ends up on your team,” Evan said. “There is a situation emerging in Dallas that is quite fascinating…which leads to this planet where, a year from now, Dak Prescott gets to free agency.

“They look at the draft of ’25, they look at the free agent market, and they say, ‘You know who would be perfect for us? Dak Prescott.’”

Morash also thought there was a possibility that the Giants win 7-8 games next season, don’t have the draft stock to take a top quarterback next year, and decide to go the free agent route instead of sacrificing more draft capital to move up in the draft. But Tiki doesn’t see it, nor would he want to see it happen.

“I cannot envision that happening,” Tiki said. “There’s no way I would endorse that.

“We’re going to say Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen are going to risk their careers without ever drafting a quarterback? Yeah, no thank you.”
