The Broncos have cut ties with Russell Wilson, leading the Evan and Tiki crew to discuss whether the Giants should be interested in bringing in the nine-time Pro Bowler.
“Russell Wilson would be that veteran quarterback,” Evan said. “Doesn’t that make sense if you have a quarterback coming off a major injury?”
Tiki still wants to see things through with Daniel Jones, but with Jones admittedly carrying his share of injury concerns, especially coming off ACL surgery, Wilson could be a strong fill-in option.
“I don’t love it, but I could see why it’s interesting,” Tiki said. “He wants to be here. He wants to be in New York…I’m talking off the field.”
Morash would also be interested in the 35-year-old, even coming off two underwhelming seasons in Denver.
“I am definitely more interested now that he has been officially released than I would have an hour ago,” Morash said. “I wouldn’t want to give up anything, and now it’s real.”
