It’s been a tough season for BetMGM bettors picking Overs for the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants.

Only one team has a worse Over record than the New York Giants (1-4) this season. But 14 teams have a lower average Over margin than the Giants (-1.4 points).

Three of their four Over losses have missed by fewer than five points, including the Week 5 loss to the Miami Dolphins. A three-point fourth quarter on 36 combined plays — 26 of which were run by the Giants, including a 13-play, 66-yard drive that ended with zero points — led to the Giants’ second Over miss of fewer than two points in the last three weeks.

Even with a big whiff in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks, the Giants’ average Over miss is 6.5 points. That’s more than three points below the average league-wide Over miss since the start of the 2022 season (9.8 points).

Week 1: 40 points (44.5)

Week 3: 42 points (43.5)

Week 4: 27 points (46)

Week 5: 47 points (48)

The Bills’ average miss is even closer; at 4.7 points, it’s more than four points below the league-wide average of nearly 350 regular-season games. Their Over dropped to 2-3 in a Week 5 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, largely thanks to six punts and an interception in the Bills’ first eight drives that produced seven total points.

Week 1: 38 points (44.5)

Week 3: 40 points (44)

Week 5: 45 points (48.5)

Collectively, the Giants’ and Bills’ Overs have missed by an average of 5.7 points. As of Tuesday, the total is 45 for their Sunday Night Football matchup at Highmark Stadium.
