Giants defensive coordinator Patrick Graham appeared to be a lock to return to New York after the Vikings reportedly decided on Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell as their next head coach, but Graham may not be so certain to stick around after all.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Raiders are interviewing Graham for their defensive coordinator opening in Las Vegas on Friday, after he already interviewed for the same position with the Steelers. If Graham is still interviewing for defensive coordinator positions after losing out on what was likely his last solid chance to be a head coach next season, then he may not be sold on returning to Big Blue.
Graham interviewed twice for Minnesota’s head coaching job, and also interviewed for the Giants opening before they hired former Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. But Daboll told reporters on Monday after being introduced as Joe Judge’s replacement that he would like to keep Graham, who Daboll knows from his days as a coach with the Patriots.

Graham just finished his second season as the team’s defensive coordinator, and is a close friend of Judge, who was fired at the end of the season.
If Graham is indeed interviewing with the Raiders, it would have had to have been cleared with the Giants, since he is still under contract with the team. He signed an extension in January of 2021.
