Many Giants fans are speculating that Odell Beckham Jr. could be coming back to the Giants to bolster their passing attack, but Boomer says those fans shouldn’t hold their breath.

“I don’t think OBJ wants to be here,” Boomer said. “I think he wants to go to the Cowboys, and I think he’s probably using the Giants or another desperate team as leverage to get more money out of the Cowboys.

“Given what the Giants went through with him and how he basically torpedoed Eli Manning and how all that went down and how ugly that was…I just can’t imagine the Mara family bringing him back and spending this amount of money on him. Because he wants more than just a contract this year. He wants a multi-year deal and he wants big money like he saw other receivers in the NFL get.”

Boomer is convinced Beckham will command big money, and the Giants aren’t close enough on offense to justify that kind of move.

“Are the Giants fool’s gold right now or are they real?” Boomer said. “Do they have a passing attack where if they added Odell Beckham Jr. to it, that they’d go from one of the worst passing attacks in football to maybe a top 10 passing attack? This is also a team that handed the ball off to their running back 35 times last week, which means there are limited opportunities for a wide receiver to be the guy that’s gonna make the $20 million he wants to make. So let’s just be realistic here.”
