There was no news on any specific Giants tight ends on the deadline day for franchise tags, but there was some news about one coming back: according to his agent, Chris Myarick has re-signed with Big Blue for 2022.
Myarick played eight games with the Giants last season, making three catches for 17 yards and one touchdown, and his first target and first catch were both notable: the former came on the play against Tampa Bay where defensive lineman (and ex-Jet) Steve McLendon made an interception, and the latter was the only touchdown the Giants scored in Big Blue’s 13-7 win over Philadelphia on Thanksgiving weekend.
The 26-year-old was waived by the Giants on Jan. 4 and spent the postseason on the Bengals’ practice squad, so he is eligible to sign anywhere at any time because his contract ended as soon as Cincinnati played in Super Bowl LVI.
