Saquon Barkley was seen cursing at a fan in a clip taken from the stands during Sunday’s loss to the Giants, the latest feud between a player and the Giants fanbase after Evan Neal went after them last week.
But Barkley fired back in response to the video on X (formerly known as Twitter) with his side of the story, claiming the fan he was yelling at had been yelling at Daniel Jones after he came back to the sideline with a neck injury that kept the quarterback out for the rest of the game.
“Stop reaching and trying to make it a me versus fans thing,” Barkley responded. “I’m not gonna just sit there and not say anything while you talk crazy to [Jones] after he just got hurt…buddy knew he was in the wrong.”
C-Mac, while agreeing that the timing of the exchange wasn’t great given the Neal drama boiling over just days before, appreciates Barkley standing up for his quarterback, and believes it shows that Jones’ teammates believe in him (C-Mac discusses the video at the 34:30 mark of the clip above).
