Many Giants fans are lamenting the departure of Saquon Barkley, especially after it was revealed that the running back is signing with the hated Eagles.
Keith doesn’t understand the level of sadness he is sensing from the fanbase, especially because Barkley never came close to achieving the ultimate goal.
“I don’t have that feeling, that attachment for anyone that didn’t bring me the ultimate joy. The championship,” Keith said. “What did Saquon win? He won one playoff game with y’all.”
Barkley was a great player in New York, but the team managed just one playoff win during his tenure. Keith says that level of emotion that Giants fans seem to be feeling doesn’t match what the Giants accomplished when Barkley was in New York.
“These young kids’ heroes are Didi Gregorius. You guys care so much about Yankees that didn’t win a damn thing,” Keith said. “I have a special place in my heart for guys like Bernie Williams, Mariano Rivera, and Derek Jeter. I love Aaron Judge, but he hasn’t gotten it done in October yet.”
