Keith says Giants fans should enjoy the playoff collapses of their NFC East rivals, but any Big Blue fans saying that the Cowboys and Eagles’ postseason misery means the gap is closing need a reality check.
“You’re supposed to laugh and enjoy the demise of your rivals…but pump your brakes please. Pump your brakes on the gap being closed,” Keith said. “Pump your brakes on ‘they’re in disarray, they’re firing their head coaches, all they need is a good offseason to close the gap.’ No, you gotta worry more about the Commanders, who are drafting right in front of you, because you’re both probably looking at quarterbacks. You gotta worry more about the news coming out about your head coach, and who is putting that news out there.
The Giants endured a lousy season that included two blowout losses to Dallas, and while they won their regular season finale against Philadelphia, the Eagles are still a team that played in the Super Bowl a year ago. So the Giants have a lot of work to do.
“The Giants have to have an incredible offseason to actually close the gap on the Cowboys and Eagles,” Keith said.
